Scholarship: Amount

This scholarship program represents a substantial investment of love. The Foundation has provided scholarships for students of Tongren University who demonstrate their desire and qualifications. The cost of one year is now approximately $850 USD (increased in 2014) or $2,550 for the three years of the scholarship. The original scholarship was placed at $500. The total scholarship costs have gone from $500 (2004) to $850 per year. Reason: inflation in China.

With the significant increase, many are not able anymore to support a full scholarship, wo we suggest a donation to the "scholarship fund". Depending upon the amount, scholarships will be provided.

Education is the only way students can break free of the cycle of poverty and subsistence farming that families have endured for generations. The recipients of this scholarship are often the first in their families to receive college diplomas.
